By Rockland is a Dutch brand based in Amsterdam. It started in 2018 with the realization that sustainable corporate wear is a gap in the market. Working together with Dutch designers that share the same sustainable values, they create collections that align with each company’s unique identity and appearance. They specialize in sustainable corporate clothing and produce collections locally and in Europe. They oversee the entire process from design to the final product.

By Rockland focuses on various sectors, including hotels, restaurants, museums, theaters and other businesses. Some of their clients include Rosewood Hotel, Boijmans van Beuningen Depot and Stadsschouwburg Utrecht.

By Rockland is fully committed to meeting the growing demand for unique, stylish workwear, with sustainability and social responsibility as core values. Careful considerations are made to ensure corporate clothing is durable, wear-resistant, easy to wash, and preferably fully recyclable. All By Rockland productions take place exclusively in Europe.

By Rockland CSR policy focuses on people, the environment, and animal welfare. They place great emphasis on sustainability. They produce exclusively in Europe and collaborate with smaller ateliers, allowing for small-batch production without being tied to excessively high minimum orders. They prioritize the use of sustainable materials, such as recycled fabrics or GOTS-certified textiles. They are members of the Circular Textile standard committee and collaborate with companies like Stanley & Stella and Mud Jeans to support their sustainable mission.

In the production of workwear, considerations must be made regarding durability. Workwear needs to be strong, wear-resistant, and easy to wash, which is not always achievable with sustainable materials. Therefore, they also focus on searching extremely long-lasting fabrics.

By Rockland explores ways to recycle and make their products circular. They produce with the end of a garment’s lifecycle in mind, ensuring it can be easily deconstructed for recycling. Features like removable buttons or fabric that can be efficiently shredded facilitate this process.
